THANK YOU FOR THE BAND SIR MUSIC. I PLAYED THE SNARE DRUM NEXT TO WALLY SELL IN 1950 , FELTHAM’S FIRST BAND. IT MAKES MY HEART SWELL WITH THE MEMORIES OF BEING A CADET. HANK LUSH, OUR LT.COL. REGIMENTAL COMMANDER, GOT ME STARTED BY ENCOURAGING ME TO TRY FOR THE OPENING FOR A DRUMMER, ONE WEEK BEFORE REPORTING. I WAS ACCEPTED AND THUS MY CHILDHOOD DREAM CAME TRUE. One of my ROOMMATEs WAS MY COUSIN, COL. FRANK SCHOENDORFER(RET), who played cornet , band ,51 . I wrote an article on my adventures and would share it with anyone interested in how I became a cadet in the band .
